Giga coasters sit above hypers on the height chart — typically 300 feet or more on the first drop. Only a handful of parks worldwide operate rides in this class, so the label is as much about rarity as engineering.

The ride experience still leans on momentum and airtime, not inversion density. Many giga layouts use long straightaways and sweeping curves so the train never really “rests” until the brake run.
