Coaster Atlas ("we," "us") operates coaster-app and related services. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. This is a practical policy for our beta product — not legal advice.

Information we collect

Account data — email, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account (via Better Auth).
Ride log data — coasters you mark as ridden, dates, optional ratings and notes you choose to save.
Usage analytics — anonymous page views and referral data via JMP Analytics (see cookie section below).
Contact submissions — information you send through our contact form.
Payment data (future) — if you subscribe to Coaster Pro, payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

How we use information

Provide the service — accounts, ride logs, Pro features, and support.
Improve the product — understand which pages are used and fix errors.
Communicate with you — respond to contact messages and service notices.
Process subscriptions — when Coaster Pro billing is enabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & similar tech

We use essential cookies for authentication (session). JMP Analytics may use cookies or local storage for anonymous visit measurement. You can control non-essential cookies in your browser settings; blocking auth cookies will prevent sign-in.

In development, a optional plan-preview cookie may be set to test Free vs Pro UI — it is not used in production unless explicitly enabled.

Third-party services

Supabase — database hosting (product data).
Vercel — application hosting.
YouTube— embedded POV video on ride pages (Google's terms apply when you play a video).
Stripe (future) — subscription billing.

Data retention & deletion

We retain account and ride-log data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing hello@coasteratlas.com. We will verify the request and delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.

Children

Coaster Atlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe we have collected such information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Contact us at hello@coasteratlas.com to exercise these rights.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
