Wing coasters
Seats sit on either side of the track so nothing is above or beside you in the middle.
On a wing coaster, seats are mounted on the left and right of the track instead of above it. That opens sightlines and makes near-miss elements — supports, trenches, water — feel dramatic.
Designers often pair wing layouts with Immelmanns, dives, and low swoops because the train profile is wide and visual.
Stats still matter, but wing rides are where theming and element sequencing do extra work. Watch a POV for clearance moments you will not feel on a spreadsheet.
